When a customer comes from out of state, DG Wilson really treats them well.  It is a matter of respect to the patron, they traveled so far to see him, it is the least DG could do for them.
So here is a great customer, not only because he traveled several hours to get to the studio, but because he sat like a champ!
A piece like this can go for as much as fifteen hundred.   It took less than two hours to complete!

DG-
I am very pleased with the work (second tattoo of a shark- the first , an angel is pic. above) and equally as glad I was able to make the trip!  You truly are an artist!

You have done 3 of my 7 pieces and quite frankly, my life would be even more of a success (even though it's still really not all that bad, I have a job!) if you had done 7 of 7.  I guess you live and learn!  No one that I have seen can match your quality and ability to incorporate subtle detail work and bring the art to life.  I am not trying in the least bit to flatter you, I am merely stating the truth.

I am done for now (until I feel the need to broadcast in ink another lesson learned or heartfelt interest of mine) through the spot on translation only your needles can provide.  However, I would very much like to make the trip maybe late May or June to have you complete your vision for my angel.  I am also interested in having the waves beneath the shark extended to reach just slightly below my ankle (I know this will hurt and I will come prepared!).  I would like to flip the script on you this time, with your permission, of course:

Your generosity and genuine love of your work are second to none.  BUT, I would like to request a personal favor and ask that you quote me the cost of having the angel and the shark "improved" beyond the Masterpieces they already are.  I am happy with my work as it is but I can see areas where your needles can only make the artwork better.  Please let me know this time when it gets closer to our appointment what the cost of your talents will be and I will provide only my skin and an open mind to your vision.

Again, thank you my friend!!  I hope you are enjoying the book!

Dear Rex,
As always it is a pleasure to have you visit.  The trip is very long and I admire the fact that you journey for your tattoo several states.  That is a flattery in itself.
I am calling finishing sessions (only for the biggest and best pieces) Perfection Sessions.
The length of time taken to get as far as we have during each of your one session visits is about as far as we can go comfortably.  So for the bigger pieces I offer finishing sessions to perfect the piece FOR FREE.  This is something that I do because the vision I saw during your tattoo is not quite complete...because of the time and pain.
If you can come back, let me know in advance so I can appoint you accordingly and I will work on both pieces in one session for FREE.
Thank you so much,
I AM really enjoying the book you gave me as a gift!
