MASTERPIECES ART STUDIO

This tattoo is interesting to look at but also for the back story. In the first year of tattooing DG was working in a busy Manhattan shop on Canal St years before it was legal and this particular tattoo is a "transition" piece. What that means is that this piece was tattooed during a time when DG was doing flash but was JUST starting to do custom work as well. The customer above chose out a piece of tribal off the wall that was filled in with solid black. DG knew he could do better so he offered a three dimensional tribal tattoo based on the same design. Above is the result. Knowing that it came from regular Flash Art off the wall and that it now is a Masterpiece makes this tattoo really stand out.
